New Orleans, LA (May 31, 2023) --- StarVista LIVE announces that Tedeschi Trucks Fireside Live will make a very special appearance at port in New Orleans onboard the Big Easy Cruise, performing an intimate concert on the ship exclusively for cruise guests. Tedeschi Trucks Fireside Live is led by the husband/wife duo of guitarist Derek Trucks and singer/guitarist Susan Tedeschi, “two of the best roots rock musicians of their generation” (NPR). With 6 band members, Fireside Live brings to the stage a rare intimate window into the band's creative chemistry while still offering dynamic world-class musicianship. From soulful anthems, to bittersweet ballads and driving rock and roll, they create unique nightly performances that showcase a genre-defying repertoire that is all their own. Anytime, anywhere this musical family gathers is an opportunity to witness something rare, deep, and powerful.
Big Easy Cruise is a completely new way to celebrate New Orleans; a 7-day event that brings together the music, food, culture, and spirit of the Crescent City. Concerts featuring the roots and offshoots of American music will fill the days and nights with performances by Little Feat, Tab Benoit, Irma Thomas, Samantha Fish, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Leo Nocentelli from The Meters, Anders Osborne, Mike Zito, Jon Cleary & The Absolute Monster Gentlemen, Tuba Skinny, John Boutté, Johnny Sansone, Jimmy Hall, Cha Wa, Rockin’ Dopsie Jr. & The Zydeco Twisters, Honey Island Swamp Band, John “Papa” Gros, Jimmy Carpenter, Bender Brass Band with more jazz, funk, R&B, Cajun, zydeco and blues-based artists to be announced in the coming months. Heralded Chef Kevin Belton and iconic artist Frenchy will also join the cruise. While docked in New Orleans, Big Easy Cruise guests will be escorted to a very special exclusive performance by Galactic featuring Anjelika “Jelly” Joseph at the famed club Tipitina’s, along with rich cultural experiences throughout the city. The Big Easy sails November 4-11, 2023, from Ft. Lauderdale to New Orleans and Cozumel aboard the luxurious Holland America Line Nieuw Amsterdam.
A true New Orleans music festival at sea, with all the comforts and amenities of a luxury ship, fans will soak up great music, mouth-watering food, and nothing but good vibes on the Big Easy Cruise. Artists from R&B, blues, rock, jazz, swamp pop, and even brass bands have been hand- selected to deliver the sounds of the city every day and night.
